     William Bowen was the son of Sir John Bowen and Alice Magrath.1 He married, firstly, Bridget Tynte, daughter of Sir Robert Tynte.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Domville, daughter of Sir William Domville.1 He died on 11 April 1686.1
     William Bowen lived at Ballyadama, County Laois, Ireland.1
