     Major Charles Sackville Hamilton was born on 4 December 1885.1 He was the son of Sackville Berkeley Hamilton and Eva Maria Eleanor Benson.1 He married Averina Jane Oliver, daughter of William Richardson Oliver, on 25 November 1918.1 He died in 1971.1
     Major Charles Sackville Hamilton was educated at St. Columba's College, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1910 in the service of the West African Frontier Force.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the East Lancashire Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

     Averina Jane Oliver was the daughter of William Richardson Oliver.1 She married Major Charles Sackville Hamilton, son of Sackville Berkeley Hamilton and Eva Maria Eleanor Benson, on 25 November 1918.1 She died in 1973.1
     Averina Jane Oliver also went by the nick-name of Reena.1 From 25 November 1918, her married name became Hamilton.1
