     William Galwey was born in 1740.1 He was the son of Edward Galwey and Mary Rivers.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Morrison, daughter of unknown Morrison.1 He married, secondly, Mary Byrne.1 He died in September 1837.1
     William Galwey was Freeman of Waterford in 1774.1 He was a merchant and shipowner at Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland.1

     John Matthew Galwey was born circa 1790.1 He was the son of William Galwey and Mary Byrne.1 He married Ann Barron, daughter of Pierce Barron, on 24 November 1813.1 He died on 25 March 1842.1
     John Matthew Galwey held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Waterford.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Waterford between 1832 and 1834.1 He was agent for Lords Dartrey and Donoughmore.1 He lived at Duckspool, County Waterford, Ireland.1
