     Edmond Galwey was the son of William Galwey and Margaret Gould.1 He married Anne Meade, daughter of Patrick Myagh and Margaret Galwey.1 He died on 22 March 1616.1
     Edmond Galwey was Alderman of Cork.1 On 13 April 1586 he had livery of his father's lands, including Culballymore, Kilgobbin and Faren Roegy.1 In June 1606 he was fined £60 for "contumacious recusancy" by the Lord President of Munster and Sir John Davies.1

     On 3 July 1611 Freeman of the city of Cork.1
     He is possibly ancestor of Captain Arthur Galwey of Spike Island.1

     Gerald de Courcy, 10th Lord Courcy of Kinsale was the son of John de Courcy, 9th Lord Courcy of Kinsale and Sawne MacCarthy.1 He married Ellen MacCarthy, daughter of Cormac MacDonogh MacCarthy.1 He died from 6 June 1599 to 6 August 1599, without male issue.1
     He alienated all his estates to the MacCarthys and others.1 He succeeded to the title of 10th Lord Courcy of Kinsale [I., c. 1340] in 1535.1
