Charles Edward Galwey was born on 11 February 1871.1 He was the son of William Galwey and Louisa (?)1 He married, firstly, Anne Louisa Valentine, daughter of Anne Elizabeth Purdon, before 1897.1 He and Anne Louisa Valentine were divorced in 1904.1 He married, secondly, Helena Davey, daughter of David Davey, after 1904.1 He died on 3 April 1921 at age 50.1
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 18th (Royal Irish) Regiment.1

     Brigadier William Charles Vernon Galwey was born on 18 February 1897.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Edward Galwey and Anne Louisa Valentine.1 He died on 16 October 1977 at age 80 at Lower Bourne, Farnham, Surrey, England.2
     He was educated at Bedford Modern School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was commissioned in 1914, in the service of the 18th (Royal Irish) Regiment.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917 and bar (1918.)1 He gained the rank of in 1923 in the Royal Signals.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Signals.1 He was commander of the Training Brigade, Royal Signals.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1941.1 He retired from the military in 1950.1 He lived in 1976 at Morris Lodge Hotel, Lower Bourne, Farnham, Surrey, EnglandG.1
