     Thomas Wontner-Smith was born on 1 January 1868 at Essex Road, Islington, London, England.1 He was the son of James Edwards Wontner-Smith and Emma Scamell.1 He died on 27 November 1938 at age 70, unmarried.1
     Thomas Wontner-Smith held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the County of London in 1907.1 He was decorated with the Royal Humane Society Medal (for saving life).1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).1 He was Chairman of Moorfield's Hospital, and Member of the Executive Committees of the League of Mercy and the Surgical Aid Society.1

     David Ducat was born on 1 June 1904 at Stoke Newington, Middlesex, England.1 He was the son of John William Ducat and Amy Wontner-Smith.1 He married Hilda Mildred Stokes on 22 April 1933 at Edmonton, Middlesex, England.1 He died on 13 February 1989 at age 84 at Torquay, Devon, England.1
     David Ducat graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), 1st class Honours in mathematics.1 He was vice chairman and managing director of Metal Box Co. Ltd.1 He was in the Ministry of Production between 1942 and 1945.1 He was chairman of the British Tin Box Manufacturers' Federation in 1952.1 He became a Liveryman of the Worshipful COmpany of Merchant Taylors.1 He was admitted to Freeman of the City of London.1

     From 22 April 1933, her married name became Ducat.1
