     Lt.-Col. William Francis Christian was born on 4 September 1879 at Bron Dirion, Caernarvonshire, WalesG.2 He was the son of Major George Arnold Christian and Elizabeth McGowan.1 He married Marguerite Annie Hornby, daughter of Charles Herbert Hornby and Marguerite Ingram, on 29 September 1900.1 He died on 14 August 1954 at age 74 at Fleet, Hampshire, EnglandG.2
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 In 1916 he raised the 91st Siege Battery.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was awarded the Order of Leopold of Belgium.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He wrote the book Unflinching: A Diary of Tragic Adventure.1

     From 29 September 1900, her married name became Christian.1

     Major Charles George Hornby Christian was born on 13 February 1904 at Bron Dirion, Caernarvonshire, WalesG.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Francis Christian and Marguerite Annie Hornby.1 He married Nonie Winifred Sophie Howe, daughter of Captain Percy Randell Follett Howe, on 22 June 1935 in a Lancaster Gate, London, England marriage.2 He died on 29 March 1989 at age 85 at South Newton, Salisbury, Wiltshire, EnglandG.3
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He was commissioned in 1924, in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1943, when he was invalided.1 He retired from the military in 1943, with the rank of Major, late of the Royal Artillery.1 He lived in 1969 at Clare Cottage, 29 Folkestone Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1
