     William Lowther was born on 13 November 1642 at Ingleton, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of George Lowther and Elizabeth Fitzgerald.1 He married, firstly, Jane Kelso, daughter of Rev. Robert Kelso, circa 1671.1 He married, secondly, Isabel Lancaster on 24 July 1679 at County Armagh, Ireland.1 He died circa 1727 at Ireland.1

     Jane Kelso was born at Inniskillen, Ireland.1 She was the daughter of Rev. Robert Kelso.1 She married William Lowther, son of George Lowther and Elizabeth Fitzgerald, circa 1671.1 She died in 1677.1
     From circa 1671, her married name became Lowther.1
