     Franklyn Lushington was born on 12 April 1820 at Madras, IndiaG.1 He was the son of Charles May Lushington and Katherine Ansell.1 He married Johanna Magdalena Chiappini, daughter of Edward Lorenzo Chiappini and Anna Catharina Margaretha Gie, on 1 June 1854 at St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.1 He died on 18 January 1890 at age 69 at Bath, Somerset, England.2
     He was Accountant General at Madras, IndiaG.1

     Johanna Magdalena Chiappini was born on 13 September 1834 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.1 She was the daughter of Edward Lorenzo Chiappini and Anna Catharina Margaretha Gie.1 She married Franklyn Lushington, son of Charles May Lushington and Katherine Ansell, on 1 June 1854 at St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.2 She died in 1887 at Tonbridge, Kent, England.1
     From 1 June 1854, her married name became Lushington.2

     Lt.-Col. Edward Charles Mortimer Lushington was born on 15 December 1855 at Madras, IndiaG.1 He was the son of Franklyn Lushington and Johanna Magdalena Chiappini.2 He was baptised on 23 January 1856 at Madras, India.1 He married Mary Hume, daughter of Major Bliss John Hume and Mary Thring, on 21 January 1877 at Bombay, India.1 He died on 29 August 1930 at age 74.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.1

     Mary Hume was born on 29 September 1856 at Bath, Somerset, England.1 She was baptised on 29 September 1856 at Beatheaston, Somerset, England.1 She was the daughter of Major Bliss John Hume and Mary Thring.2,1 She married Lt.-Col. Edward Charles Mortimer Lushington, son of Franklyn Lushington and Johanna Magdalena Chiappini, on 21 January 1877 at Bombay, India.1 She died in 1933.1
     From 21 January 1877, her married name became Lushington.1

     Major Bliss John Hume was born on 23 August 1828 at London, England.1 He was the son of John Hume and Anne Louisa Parke.1 He was baptised on 12 September 1828 at St. Martin in the Fields, Westminster, London, England.1 He married Mary Thring in 1848 at Warminster, Wiltshire, England.1 He died on 25 April 1865 at age 36.1 He was buried on 26 April 1865 at Dum Dum, Bengal, India.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 80th Foot (South Staffordshire Regiment.)1
