Christian Standish was born at Ellanbane, Lezayre, Isle of Man.1 She was the daughter of John Standish.1 She married Captain William Valentine Christian, son of Deemster Edward Christian and Dorothy Wilson, in 1695.1 She died in May 1709 at Ellanbane, Lezayre, Isle of Man.1
Christian Standish was the last survivor of the Manx Branch of the family Standish of Standish Hall, Lancashire, who had lived some considerable time in the Island. The Ellanbane Estate had been originally purchased in 1540 by Huan Standish.1 From 1695, her married name became Christian.1
