     Loftus Charles Blomefield was born on 26 May 1905.1 He was the son of Charles Allan Blomefield and Minnie Otway Burrowes.1 He married Una Innes Munro, daughter of John Anand Munro, on 30 June 1937.1 He died in 1981.1
     Loftus Charles Blomefield graduated from University of South Africa, Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa, in 1928 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.).1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Veterinary Science (D.V.Sc.) by University of South Africa, Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa, in 1944.1 He was assistant chief Veterinary Field Services before 1965 at Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa.1

     Una Innes Munro was the daughter of John Anand Munro.1 She married Loftus Charles Blomefield, son of Charles Allan Blomefield and Minnie Otway Burrowes, on 30 June 1937.1 She died on 21 May 2002.1
     From 30 June 1937, her married name became Blomefield.1
