     Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Lionel Galway was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Thomas Lionel John Gallwey.1 He married Marie Carola Franciska Roselyne Blennerhassett, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Rowland Blennerhassett, 4th Bt. and Countess Charlotte de Leyden, on 26 August 1913.1 He died on 17 June 1949.1
     Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Lionel Galway was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.).1 He was baptised with the name of Henry Lionel Gallwey.1
