     Dr. Michael Hugh Blunt was born on 5 March 1920.1 He was the son of Hugh Roper Blunt and Agnes Sara Gray.1 He married Susanne Mary Field, daughter of Lawson L. C. Field, on 15 November 1959.1 He died in 1983.1
     Dr. Michael Hugh Blunt gained the rank of Captain in 1944 in the service of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1944 and 1947, serving in Burma.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (M.R.C.V.S.).1
