     Captain Geoffrey Makins was born on 30 December 1877.1 He was the son of Henry Francis Makins and Keziah Elizabeth Hunt.2 He died on 23 August 1915 at age 37, killed in action.1
     Captain Geoffrey Makins fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.).1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Captain Hugh Makins was born on 18 November 1881.1 He was the son of Henry Francis Makins and Keziah Elizabeth Hunt.2 He died on 4 November 1915 at age 33, killed in action.1
     Captain Hugh Makins graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was a practising barrister.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Queen's Westminster Rifles.1
