     Charles Edmund Rumbold was born on 11 August 1788.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Rumbold, 1st Bt. and Joanna Law.1 He married Harriet Gardner, daughter of John Gardner.2 He died on 31 May 1857 at age 68 at Preston Candover, Hampshire, England.1
