     Alice Bancks was the daughter of Sir John Bancks and Mary Hawtrey.¹ She married Sir John Borlase, 1st Bt., son of Sir William Borlase and Amy Popham, on 4 December 1637 at St. Gile's-in-the-Fields Church, London, England.¹ She died on 16 November 1683 at Paris, France.¹ She was buried at St. Jaques Church, Paris, France.¹ Her will (dated 8 January 1679) was probated on 31 January 1683/84.¹
     From 4 December 1637, her married name became Borlase.¹ She became a Roman Catholic at the age of 57.¹

     Mary Hawtrey was the daughter of Ralph Hawtrey.¹

Bucks and of Stratton Audley, co. Oxford [E., 1642] on 8 August 1672.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wycombe between 1673 and 1681.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Marlow between 1685 and 1689.²
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.²
