     Sir Roger Bradshaigh, 1st Bt. was born in 1627.1 He was the son of James Bradshaigh and Anne Norris.1 He married Elizabeth Pennington, daughter of William Pennington and Catherine Sherborne, before 1650.1 He died on 31 March 1684 at Chester, Cheshire, England.1
     Sir Roger Bradshaigh, 1st Bt. fought in the English Civil War, for the King.1 At Chester Castle, Chester, Cheshire, England, he was imprisoned.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire in 1660.1 He was invested as a Knight on 18 June 1660.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigan between 1661 and 1679.1 He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 2 February 1672/73.1 He was created 1st Baronet Bradshaigh, of Haigh, co. Lancaster [England] on 17 November 1679.1
