     Wastel Brisco fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Trooper in the service of the Auckland Mounted Rifles, New Zealand Expeditionary Force.2

     Oriel Arthur Brisco was born on 26 June 1892.1 He was the son of Arthur Hylton Brisco and Jessie Mary Campbell.1 He married, firstly, Lilian Frederica Saunderson, daughter of Francis Ernest Dominic Saunderson, in 1921.1 He married, secondly, Sarah Louisa Clark, daughter of Rice Owen Clark, in December 1960.1
     Oriel Arthur Brisco fought in the First World War, with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, in Egypt and France.1 He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign.
