     Sir William Ernst Cain, 1st Bt. was born on 7 May 1864.1 He was the son of Robert Cain and Anne Newall.1 He married Florence Roberts, daughter of Joseph Oakes Roberts, on 8 April 1886.1 He died on 5 May 1924 at age 59.1
     Sir William Ernst Cain, 1st Bt. held the office of Governor of Liverpool University.1 He was invested as a Knight.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.1 He was created 1st Baronet Cain [U.K.] on 29 January 1920.1

     Sir Ernest Cain, 2nd Bt. was born on 25 September 1891.1 He was the son of Sir William Ernst Cain, 1st Bt. and Florence Roberts.1 He married Enid Bertha Willoughby Glasgow, daughter of George Glasgow, on 17 July 1923.1 He died in 1969.1
     Sir Ernest Cain, 2nd Bt. graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1914 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1920 entitled to practice as a Barrister.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Cain [U.K., 1920] on 5 May 1924.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
