Frances Bromhead1

     Frances Bromhead was baptised in 1762 at All Saints, Southampton, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Bordman Bromhead and Frances Gonville.1 She married Reverend James Wood.1
     Her married name became Wood.1

     Jane ffrench was the daughter of Sir Charles ffrench, 1st Bt. and Rose Dillon, Baroness ffrench of Castle ffrench.1 She married Lt.-Gen. Sir Gonville Bromhead, 1st Bt., son of Colonel Bordman Bromhead and Frances Gonville, on 18 July 1787. She died on 2 September 1837.1
     From 18 July 1787, her married name became Bromhead.1

Sir Charles ffrench, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Charles ffrench, 1st Bt. was the son of Thomas ffrench and Clara Hamilton.2 He married Rose Dillon, Baroness ffrench of Castle ffrench, daughter of Patrick Dillon, on 25 June 1761.2 He died from 11 January 1783 to 20 October 1784.2
     He held the office of Mayor of Galway from 1773 to 1774.2 He was created 1st Baronet ffrench, of Castle ffrench, co. Galway [Ireland] on 17 August 1779.1

Rose Dillon, Baroness ffrench of Castle ffrench1

     Rose Dillon, Baroness ffrench of Castle ffrench was the daughter of Patrick Dillon.2 She married Sir Charles ffrench, 1st Bt., son of Thomas ffrench and Clara Hamilton, on 25 June 1761.2 She died on 8 December 1805.2
     King George III's objection to promoting Catholics entailed ennobling the mother (nominally Protestant) rather than the son (a strict Catholic.)2 From 25 June 1761, her married name became ffrench.1 She was created Baroness ffrench of Castle ffrench, co. Galway [Ireland] (styled as The peerage was conferred in recognition of services rendered by their only son Sir Thomas Hamilton ffrench) on 12 March 1798, suo jure, with special remainder to children of her late husband.2

     Reverend Charles ffrench Bromhead was born on 18 May 1795.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Gonville Bromhead, 1st Bt. and Jane ffrench.1 He died on 2 August 1855 at age 60, unmarried.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Vicar at Cardington, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1

Judith Christine Wood1

     Judith Christine Wood was the daughter of James Wood.1 She married Major Sir Edmund Gonville Bromhead, 3rd Bt., son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Gonville Bromhead, 1st Bt. and Jane ffrench, on 15 September 1823. She died on 12 June 1873.1
     From 15 September 1823, her married name became Bromhead.1

Captain Edward Bromhead1

     Captain Edward Bromhead was born on 21 March 1832.1 He was the son of Major Sir Edmund Gonville Bromhead, 3rd Bt. and Judith Christine Wood.1 He died on 9 January 1869 at age 36, unmarried.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Regiment.1 He fought in the Crimean War.1
