     Major Benjamin Gonville Bromhead was born on 19 August 1876.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sir Benjamin Parnell Bromhead, 4th Bt. and Hannah Smith.¹ He married Edith Maud Andrews, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Charles Andrews, on 30 April 1912.¹ He died on 13 May 1939 at age 62.¹
     Major Benjamin Gonville Bromhead gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Berkshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹
