     Maureen Helen Taaffe was born on 1 September 1910.1 She was the daughter of George Leary Joseph Taaffe and Alice Catharine Trevor Griffith-Boscawen.1 She married John Cuthbert Widdrington Riddell, son of Cuthbert David Giffard Riddell and Evelyn Mary Liddell, on 25 April 1935.2 She died on 13 January 1992 at age 81.1
     From 25 April 1935, her married name became Riddell.
