Robertson, on 1 October 1940. He and Eve Robertson were divorced in 1949. He married, secondly, Marie Elsie de Mattos, daughter of Jonkheer Francois Edouard Teixeira de Mattos, on 6 April 1950.
     He gained the rank of Group Captain in the service of the Royal Air Force.
