     Captain Alan Hugh Hillgarth is the son of Wilmott Henderson Hillgarth Evans.1 He married Hon. Mary Sidney Katharine Almina Gardner, daughter of Herbert Colstoun Gardner, 1st and last Baron Burghclere of Walden and Lady Winifred Anne Henrietta Christiana Herbert, in January 1929.2 He and Hon. Mary Sidney Katharine Almina Gardner were divorced in 1946.1
     Captain Alan Hugh Hillgarth was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).1 He was baptised with the name of Alan Hugh Evans.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1

Evelyn Florence Margaret Winifred Gardner were divorced in 1936.1 He died on 18 March 1976 at age 72, by committing suicide.2
