     Harriet Mary Waugh was born on 13 May 1944.3 She is the daughter of Evelyn Arthur St. John Waugh and Laura Laetitia Gwendolen Evelyn Herbert.2 She married Richard Dorment in 1985.3

     Alexander Raban Waugh was born on 8 July 1898 at Hampstead, London, England.1 He was the son of Arthur Waugh.1 He married, firstly, Barbara Annis Jacobs, daughter of W. W. Jacobs, on 29 July 1919 at St. Peter's Church, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, England.2 He and Barbara Annis Jacobs were divorced on 1 February 1923 with a decree on nullity.2 He married, secondly, Joan Chirnside, daughter of Andrew Chirnside, on 25 October 1932 at Chelsea Old Church, Chelsea, London, England.2 He married, thirdly, Virginia Sorenson in 1969.2 He died on 3 September 1981 at age 83 at Tampa, Florida, U.S.A., after suffering a stroke two weeks earlier.1
     Alexander Raban Waugh used the pen-name of Alec Waugh.1 He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War.3 He fought in the Second World War, in France, Syria and Iraq.1 He gained the rank of Major.1 He was a novelist and travel writer.1 He was a writer in residence from 1966 to 1967 at Central State College, Edmond, Oklahoma, U.S.A..2
