     John Clere Parsons was born in 1760.1 He was the son of Sir William Parsons, 4th Bt. and Mary Clere.1 He married Mary Anne Moore, daughter of William Moore, in November 1805.1
     He was a practising barrister.1 He held the office of Chief Commissioner of the Insolvent Court [Ireland].1 He had two younger sons and two daughters.1

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Lawrence Worthington Parsons is the son of Laurence Parsons and Rebecca Catherine Lawder.2 He married Florence Belinda Graves, daughter of Dr. Robert James Graves and Anna Grogan, on 15 January 1880.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)3
