Major Sir Hervey James Hugh Bruce-Clifton, 7th Bt. was born on 4 September 1952.1 He is the son of Sir Hervey John William Bruce, 6th Bt. He married, firstly, Charlotte Sara Jane Gore, daughter of John Temple Gore and Serena Margaret Mounsey, in 1979.1 He and Charlotte Sara Jane Gore were divorced in 1991.1 He married, secondly, Joanna M. Pope, daughter of Frank Pope, in 1992.1
Major Sir Hervey James Hugh Bruce-Clifton, 7th Bt. was baptised with the name of Hervey James Hugh Bruce.1 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Bruce, of Downhill, co. Londonderry [U.K., 1804] in 1971.1 He was educated at Mons Officer Cadet School.1 On 1997 his name was legally changed to Hervey James Hugh Bruce-Clifton by Royal Licence.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Grenadier Guards.1 He lived in 2003 at Van Reenen, Natal, South Africa.1
