     Evelyn Mary Amelia Leith was born circa 1876.1 She was the daughter of Major Thomas Leith and Lady Mary Isabella Dalzell.1,2 She married Lt.-Col. Percy Robert Clifton, son of Sir Hervey Juckes Lloyd Bruce, 4th Bt. and Ellen Maud Ricardo, on 27 November 1909.1 She died on 6 January 1969.1
     From 27 November 1909, her married name became Bruce. From 1 November 1919, her married name became Clifton.

     Lt.-Col. Peter Thomas Clifton was born on 24 January 1911.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Percy Robert Clifton and Evelyn Mary Amelia Leith.1 He married, firstly, Ursula Sybil Packe, daughter of Sir Edward Hussey Packe and Hon. Mary Sydney Colebrooke, on 2 June 1934.1 He married, secondly, Patricia Mary Adela Gibson-Watt, daughter of Major James Miller Gibson-Watt and Marjorie Adela Ricardo, on 28 April 1948.1 He died in November 1996 at age 85 at Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.2
     He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)3 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 His marriage to Ursula Sybil Packe was annulled in 1936.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Nottinghamshire between 1952 and 1959.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1954.1 He was a member of the Gentlemen-at-Arms in 1960.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire in 1964.1 He was Standard Bearer of the Gentlemen-at-Arms between 1979 and 1981.1 He lived at Dummer House, Dummer, Basingstoke, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
