     Gertrude Amy Shill was the daughter of Charles Rivington Shill.¹ She married Sir Charles Bruce-Gardner, 1st Bt., son of Henry Gardner and Florence Arliss, on 1 February 1911.¹ She died on 4 October 1978.¹
     From 1 February 1911, her married name became Gardner.

     Sir Douglas Bruce-Gardner, 2nd Bt. was born on 27 January 1917.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Bruce-Gardner, 1st Bt. and Gertrude Amy Shill.¹ He married, firstly, Monica Flummerfelt Jefferson, daughter of Professor Sir Geoffrey Jefferson, on 27 July 1940.¹ He and Monica Flummerfelt Jefferson were divorced in 1964.¹ He married, secondly, Sheila Jane Stilliard, daughter of Roger Stilliard, on 18 March 1964.¹ He died on 25 November 1997 at age 80.¹

     Erica Judith Bruce-Gardner was born on 8 December 1941.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Douglas Bruce-Gardner, 2nd Bt. and Monica Flummerfelt Jefferson.¹ She married Paul Hamer Blackburn, son of William Blackburn, on 29 September 1962.¹
