     Dr. Anthony John Erskine was born on 25 June 1931.1 He is the son of John Steuart Erskine and Rachel Diana Mary Rickman.1 He married Janet Madeline Clarke, daughter of L. H. Clarke, on 11 June 1955.1
     Dr. Anthony John Erskine graduated from Acadia University in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.). He graduated from Queen's University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, in 1955 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He graduated from Queen's University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, in 1957 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). He graduated from University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in 1960 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was a wildlife biologist for the Government of Canada between 1960 and 1991.1 He lived in 2003 at 16 Richardson Street, Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada.1
