     Reverend Joseph Brodie was born in 1600.1 He was the son of David Brodie, 13th of Brodie and Janet Hay.1 He married Nicola Guthrie, daughter of Rt. Rev. John Guthrie.1 He died in 1656.1
     Reverend Joseph Brodie was the Minister at Forres, Morayshire, Scotland.1 He was the Minister at Keith, Scotland.1
     He was ancestor of the Brodies of Muiresk.1

     Alexander Brodie, 12th of Brodie was the son of Thomas Brodie, 11th of Brodie and Agnes Schaw.1 He married Marjory Dunbar in 1553. He married Margaret Hay in 1569.1 He died in 1583.1
     Alexander Brodie, 12th of Brodie also went by the nick-name of Alexander 'the Rebel'.1 He held the position of 12th Chief of Clan Brodie in 1547.1
