     Nigel Arthur Buxton was born on 28 January 1909.1 He was the son of Reverend Arthur Buxton and Esme Caroline Pixley.2 He married Elmira Mary Richli, daughter of William Richli, on 23 March 1948.1 He died on 15 June 1995 at age 86.1
     Nigel Arthur Buxton was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1930 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1934 with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.Ch.).1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Army Medical Corps.1 He lived Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.).1 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.).1
He was a medical missionary before 1962 at India.1
