     Iain Maxwell Erskine, 2nd Baron Erskine of Rerrick was born on 22 January 1926.2 He was the son of John Maxwell Erskine, 1st Baron Erskine of Rerrick.2 He married Marie Elizabeth Burton Allen, daughter of Major Richard Burton Allen, on 20 July 1955.2 He and Marie Elizabeth Burton Allen were divorced before 1964.2 He died on 7 June 1995 at age 69.3
     He retired from the military in 1964, with the rank of Major, late of the Grenadier Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Erskine [U.K., 1961] in 1980.3 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Erskine of Rerrick [U.K., 1964] in 1980.3 On his death his titles became extinct.3
