Sir Henry Calder, 4th Bt. was born circa 1740.¹ He was the son of Sir James Calder, 3rd Bt. and Alice Hughes.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Earle, daughter of Augustine Earle, circa 1 March 1767.¹ He married, secondly, Louisa Osborne, daughter of Admiral Henry Osborne, on 18 January 1789 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone, London, England.¹ He died on 3 February 1792 at Bath, Somerset, England.¹ He died intestate and his estate was administered in February 1793.¹
     Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Calder, 4th Bt. succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Calder, of Muirton [in the parish of Kinloss, co. Moray] [N.S., 1686] on 19 September 1774.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Gibraltar.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 30th Foot.¹

     Admiral Sir Robert Calder, 1st and last Bt. was born on 2 July 1745.² He was the son of Sir James Calder, 3rd Bt. and Alice Hughes.¹ He married Amelia Michell, daughter of John Michell, in May 1779.² He died on 31 August 1818 at age 73, without issue.¹
     Admiral Sir Robert Calder, 1st and last Bt. was commissioned in 1759, in the service of the Royal Navy.² On 21 May 1762 he received £1,800 in prize money as Midshipman, for the capture of the Spanish ship Hermione.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1762.² He gained the rank of Captain in 1780.² He fought in the Battle of St. Vincent, where he was Captain of Fleet under Jervis.² He was invested as a Knight on 3 March 1797.² He was created 1st Baronet Calder, of Southwick, co. Southampton [Great Britain] on 22 August 1798.² He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1799.² In February 1801 he was out-manouevred by an escaping French squadron.² He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1804.² In July 1805 he declined engaging the French Fleet off Finisterre under Villeneuve, leaving the English coast exposed. He was subsequently recalled and censured for an 'error in judgment.²' He gained the rank of Admiral on 31 July 1810.² He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 2 January 1815.²
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.²

     Thomas Calder was born before 1740.¹ He was the son of Sir James Calder, 3rd Bt. and Alice Hughes.¹ He died before 1774, lost on board H.M.S. Namur in the East Indies, unmarried.¹

     Elizabeth Earle was the daughter of Augustine Earle.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Calder, 4th Bt., son of Sir James Calder, 3rd Bt. and Alice Hughes, circa 1 March 1767.¹ She died between May 1786 and June 1786, without issue.¹ Her will (dated 2 May 1786) was probated on 9 June 1786.¹
     From circa 1 March 1767, her married name became Calder.¹

     Hon. Sir Harry Julian Stonor was born on 17 November 1859.¹ He was the son of Hon. Francis Stonor and Eliza Peel.² He died on 5 May 1939 at age 79, unmarried.¹
     In May 1881 he was granted the precedence of a baron’s younger son.¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher and Quarterly Waiter in Ordinary to HM Queen Victoria between 1883 and 1901.¹ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.).¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher and Groom-in-Waiting to HM King Edward VII between 1901 and 1910.¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher and Groom-in-Waiting to HM King George V between 1910 and 1936.¹ He was decorated with the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.¹ He held the office of Deputy Master of the Household between 1918 and 1921.¹ He held the office of Secretary and Registrar of the Order of Merit between 1924 and 1939.¹ He held the office of Extra Groom-in-Waiting to HM King Edward VIII in 1936.¹ He held the office of Extra Groom-in-Waiting to HM King George VI in 1937.¹

     Hon. Edward Alexander Stonor was born on 16 October 1867.¹ He was the son of Hon. Francis Stonor and Eliza Peel.² He married Christine Alexandra Ralli, daughter of Richard Ralli, on 16 January 1899.¹ He died on 12 May 1940 at age 72.¹
     In May 1881 he was granted the precedence of a baron’s younger son.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Oxfordshire Yeomanry Cavalry.¹ He was Principal Clerk and Taxing Master for Private Bills, House of Lords.¹ He gained the rank of Major between 1914 and 1918 in the service of the Royal Flying Corps.¹ He was decorated with the Order of St. Anne of Russia.¹ He was decorated with the Order of the Crown of Romania.¹ He was decorated with the Order of St. Sava of Yugoslavia.¹ He was decorated with the Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus of Italy.¹ He was decorated with the Legion of Honour.¹ He was decorated with the Order of Leopold of Belgium.¹ He gained the rank of Major between 1918 and 1919 in the service of the Royal Air Force.¹

     Richard Ralli was born on 6 December 1835.² He was the son of George Ralli.² He died on 4 July 1903 at age 67 at Paris, France.²

     Christine Alexandra Ralli was born on 19 January 1867.³ She was the daughter of Richard Ralli.² She married, firstly, Ambrose Ralli, son of John Ralli, on 28 April 1886 at Nice, France.³ She married, secondly, Hon. Edward Alexander Stonor, son of Hon. Francis Stonor and Eliza Peel, on 16 January 1899.¹ She died on 9 December 1958 at age 91.¹
     From 16 January 1899, her married name became Stonor.

     Francis Edward Stonor was born on 4 August 1900.¹ He was the son of Hon. Edward Alexander Stonor and Christine Alexandra Ralli.² He died on 22 March 1968 at age 67, unmarried.¹
     Francis Edward Stonor was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He held the office of Page of Honour to HM George V between 1915 and 1917.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1949 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹
