     Frederick Brodie was born in 1823.1 He was the son of Alexander Brodie of the Gore and Anna Walter.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Fusell in 1853.1 He married, secondly, Ada Carden, daughter of Sir Robert Carden, in 1858.1
