     Captain Rev. Edward Noel Mellish, V.C. was born on 24 December 1880 at Barnet, Hertfordshire, England.2 He married Elizabeth Wallace Molesworth, daughter of Lawrence Teesdale Molesworth and Anna Maria Caroline Wallace Bournes, on 3 December 1918 at St. Paul's Church, Deptford, London, England.1 He died on 8 July 1962 at age 81 at South Petherton, Somerset, England.2
     Captain Rev. Edward Noel Mellish, V.C. gained the rank of Temporary Chaplain in the service of the Army Chaplain's Department.3 He fought in the First World War.3 He was decorated with the Military Cross (M.C.).1 He was decorated with the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 20 April 1916, for his actions on 27-29 March 1916.2
