     Major Bryan Mortem Gibbs was the son of Arthur Gibbs.2 He married Lady Rosamond Kathleen Margaret Butler, daughter of Charles Ernest Alfred French Somerset Butler, 7th Earl of Carrick and Ellen Rosemond Mary Lindsay, on 9 June 1925.1 He and Lady Rosamond Kathleen Margaret Butler were divorced in 1947.1 He died on 23 January 1965.3
     Major Bryan Mortem Gibbs gained the rank of Major in the service of the Welsh Guards.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.).1
