     Rolle Cary was born on 29 December 1819.1 He was the son of Roulle Cary and Ruth Trewavas.2 He married Elizabeth Corin.1 He died on 23 March 1866 at age 46, drowned when his ship was lost in a storm off Start Point, Devon.1
     A Master Mariner.1 He was Captain of the barque Spirit of the Ocean.1
