     Brig.-Gen. Burleigh Francis Brownlow Stuart was born on 1 November 1868.1 He was the son of Burleigh William Henry Fitzgibbon Stuart and Susan Mary Briscoe.2 He married Evelyn Margaret Clarke, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Edward Henry St. Lawrence Clarke, 4th Bt., on 26 January 1916.1 He died on 8 March 1952 at age 83.1
     Brig.-Gen. Burleigh Francis Brownlow Stuart fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in the service of the 3rd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1915.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1

     Evelyn Margaret Clarke was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Edward Henry St. Lawrence Clarke, 4th Bt..2 She married Brig.-Gen. Burleigh Francis Brownlow Stuart, son of Burleigh William Henry Fitzgibbon Stuart and Susan Mary Briscoe, on 26 January 1916.1 She died on 4 May 1970.1
     Evelyn Margaret Clarke held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1

     Colonel John William Brownlow Stuart was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was decorated with the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1939.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.1 He fought in the Kenyan Campaign between 1956 and 1957.1 He was Colonel of the 1st Battalion, Worcsestershire Regiment between 1959 and 1961.1 He lived in 2003 at Corner Cottage, Radford, Inkberrow, Worcestershire, England.1
