     Rebecca Ellen Soady was the daughter of William Thomas Soady.1 She married John Michael Schomberg Staveley Handcock, 7th Baron Castlemaine of Moydrum, son of Robert John Handcock and Eleamor Annie Esther Staveley, on 8 October 1930.1 She died on 25 January 1978.2
     From 8 October 1930, her married name became Handcock.1 As a result of her marriage, Rebecca Ellen Soady was styled as Baroness Castlemaine of Moydrum on 31 May 1954.

     Lt.-Col. Roland Thomas John Handcock, 8th Baron Castlemaine of Moydrum was born on 22 April 1943.2 He is the son of John Michael Schomberg Staveley Handcock, 7th Baron Castlemaine of Moydrum and Rebecca Ellen Soady.1 He married, firstly, Pauline Anne Bainbridge, daughter of John Taylor Bainbridge, on 27 October 1969.2 He and Pauline Anne Bainbridge were divorced.1 He married, secondly, Lynne Christine Gurney, daughter of Major Justin Michael Gurney, in 1988.1,3
     Lt.-Col. Roland Thomas John Handcock, 8th Baron Castlemaine of Moydrum was educated at Campbell College, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He was commanding officer of the Parachute Regiment in 1964.2 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baron Castlemaine of Moydrum, co. Westmeath [I., 1812] on 31 July 1973.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1981.2 He retired from the military in 1992, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Army Air Corps.2 He lived in 2003 at Keepers Cottage, Winterbourne Stoke, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.2
