Sir Charles Carteret, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 4 June 1679 at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, England.1 He was the son of Sir Philip Carteret, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Carteret.1 He died on 3 June 1715 at age 35, without surviving issue.1 He was also reported to have died on 6 June 1715.1 He was buried on 8 June 1715 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England.1
Sir Charles Carteret, 3rd Bt. succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Carteret, of St. Ouen, Jersey [E., 1670] in 1693.1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to Queen Anne.1 He held the office of High Bailiff of Jersey.1
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
