Sir Charles Carteret, 3rd Bt.1

     Sir Charles Carteret, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 4 June 1679 at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, England.1 He was the son of Sir Philip Carteret, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Carteret.1 He died on 3 June 1715 at age 35, without surviving issue.1 He was also reported to have died on 6 June 1715.1 He was buried on 8 June 1715 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England.1
     He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Carteret, of St. Ouen, Jersey [E., 1670] in 1693.1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to Queen Anne.1 He held the office of High Bailiff of Jersey.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

     Sir Robin McAlpine was born on 18 March 1906.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Malcolm McAlpine and Maud Dees.3 He married Nora Constance Perse, daughter of Horace Frank Perse, on 14 July 1939.2 He married, secondly, Philippa Janet Tennyson d'Eyncourt, daughter of Sir Gervais Tennyson d'Eyncourt, 2nd Bt., in 1970.1 He died in 1993.1
     He was educated Charterhouse.2 In 1939 deed poll ) (Sir.2 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1957.2 He was chairman Sir Robert McAlpine and Sons Ltd (ret ), president Fedn Civil Engrg Contractors, knighted 1969 in 1969.2
