     Maj.-Gen. John Archibald Henry Pollock was born on 1 December 1856.² He was the son of Archibald Reid Swiney Pollock and Janet Justina Davidson.³ He married Lillian Forrester Fortune, daughter of John Fortune, on 8 December 1898.² He died on 27 February 1949 at age 92.²
     He was Jowaki –78, Afghan War 1878–79 (despatches), Mahsood Waziri Expdn 1881 (despatches), Samana Expdn 1891, Waziristan 1894–95, NWF India 1897 (despatches) and China 1900 (despatches), Major-General IA, Honour Colonel 1st/12th PWO Sikhs FF Expdn 1877.² He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) Stewartry of Kirkcudbright.² He was educated Haileybury and RMC Sandhurst.² He lived at Ardendee, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1903.²

     Daphne Victoria Catherine Pollock was born on 1 December 1907.² She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Archibald Henry Pollock and Lillian Forrester Fortune.³ She married Major Alan Reginald Cathcart, son of Major Frederick Adrian Cathcart and Margaret Cecil Anne Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, on 5 April 1934.¹ She died in 1993.¹
      From 5 April 1934, her married name became Cathcart.

     Charles Alan Cathcart was born on 1 April 1940.¹ He was the son of Major Alan Reginald Cathcart and Daphne Victoria Catherine Pollock.² He married Carol Ann Jenner, daughter of A. E. Jenner, in 1973.¹ He died in 2004.³
     He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England.¹ He lived in 2003 at Culraven, Borgue, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.¹

     Carol Ann Jenner is the daughter of A. E. Jenner.² She married Charles Alan Cathcart, son of Major Alan Reginald Cathcart and Daphne Victoria Catherine Pollock, in 1973.¹
      From 1973, her married name became Cathcart.

     Daniel Edward Cathcart was born on 24 September 1974.¹ He is the son of Charles Alan Cathcart and Carol Ann Jenner.²

     Emma Katherine Cathcart was born on 22 June 1976.¹ She is the daughter of Charles Alan Cathcart and Carol Ann Jenner.²

     Julia Mary Cathcart was born on 14 June 1936.¹ She was the daughter of Major Alan Reginald Cathcart and Daphne Victoria Catherine Pollock.² She married Angus George Millar, son of George William Russell Millar, on 25 April 1959.¹ She died in December 2000 at age 64.¹
      From 25 April 1959, her married name became Millar.

     George William Russell Millar lived at Port Dickson, Malaysia.¹

     Angus George Millar was the son of George William Russell Millar.² He married Julia Mary Cathcart, daughter of Major Alan Reginald Cathcart and Daphne Victoria Catherine Pollock, on 25 April 1959.¹ He died in 1996.¹
     He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.).¹
