     John Asteley Cave-Browne was born on 15 November 1860.1 He was the son of Reverend John Cave-Browne and Selina Mary Turner.2 He married Amy Burvill Holmes, daughter of Lt.-Col. W. B. Holmes, on 13 January 1894.1 He died on 30 August 1904 at age 43, without issue.1
