     Charles Knightley Cayley was born on 3 August 1888.1 He was the son of Claud Thornton Cayley and Blanche Graham Ford.2 He married Isabella Alice Leach, daughter of Benjamin Edward Leach, on 15 September 1915.1 He died on 22 June 1916 at age 27.1
     Charles Knightley Cayley gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Kent Fortress Royal Engineers.1
