     William Somerville, Master of Somerville was born between 1450 and 1453.1 He was the son of John Somerville, 2nd Lord Somerville and Helen Hepburn.1 He married, firstly, Marjorie Montgomerie, daughter of Alexander Montgomerie, Master of Montgomerie and Catherine Kennedy.2 He married, secondly, Janet Douglas, daughter of Sir William Douglas, 4th of Drumlanrig, before 2 October 1478.3 He died between 18 May 1491 and November 1491.1
     He was styled as Master of Somerville.2

     John Somerville, 3rd Lord Somerville was the son of William Somerville, Master of Somerville and Marjorie Montgomerie.1 He married Agnes Colquhoun, daughter of Humphrey Colquhoun, 12th of Luss and Helen Erskine. He died before 27 October 1522, without issue.2,3
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Somerville [S., 1444] in 1491/92.2

     Janet Douglas was the daughter of Sir William Douglas, 4th of Drumlanrig.2 She married William Somerville, Master of Somerville, son of John Somerville, 2nd Lord Somerville and Helen Hepburn, before 2 October 1478.1 She died before 4 October 1512.1
     From before 2 October 1478, her married name became Somerville.1
