     Richard William St. George Caulfeild, 12th Viscount Charlemont was born on 13 March 1887.1 He was the son of Henry St. George Caulfeild and Jane Goldsmith.2 He married Dorothy Laura Giles, daughter of Frank Giles, on 7 October 1914.1 He died on 18 June 1979 at age 92, without male issue.1
     Richard William St. George Caulfeild, 12th Viscount Charlemont was with the Colonial Civil Service, FMS.1 With Directorate of Works, Air Ministry.1 He succeeded to the title of 12th Viscount Charlemont, co. Armagh [I., 1665] on 18 November 1971.1 He succeeded to the title of 16th Lord Caulfeild, Baron of Charlemont, co. Armagh [I., 1620] on 18 November 1971.3

     Dorothy Laura Giles was the daughter of Frank Giles.2 She married Richard William St. George Caulfeild, 12th Viscount Charlemont, son of Henry St. George Caulfeild and Jane Goldsmith, on 7 October 1914.1 She died on 18 May 1961.1
     From 7 October 1914, her married name became Caulfeild.
