     Gerald Edward Peirson Thesiger was born on 24 May 1872.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Hon. Charles Wemyss Thesiger and Charlotte Elizabeth Handcock.2 He married Ruby Le Nora Marguerite McCulloch, daughter of John McCulloch, on 9 April 1908.1 He died on 9 October 1947 at age 75, without issue.1
     Gerald Edward Peirson Thesiger fought in the Boer War in 1900.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Surrey Yeomanry.1 He was Assistant Resident of North Nigeria.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Charles William Bury, 1st Earl of Charleville was born on 30 June 1764.1 He was the son of John Bury and Catherine Sadleir.1 He married Catherine Maria Dawson, daughter of Thomas Townley Dawson and Joanna Saunders, on 4 June 1798.1 He died on 31 October 1835 at age 71 at Dover, Kent, England.1 He was buried at Charleville Forest, County Offaly, Ireland.1
     Charles William Bury, 1st Earl of Charleville matriculated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, on 11 October 1781.2 He graduated from Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1785 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kilmallock between 1789 and 1790.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kilmallock between 1791 and 1797.1 He was created 1st Baron Tullamore of Charleville Forest, in King's County [Ireland] on 26 November 1797.1 In 1798 he helped to suppress the Irish rebellion.1 He was created 1st Viscount Charleville of Charleville Forest, in King's County [Ireland] on 29 December 1800.1 He held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland] between 1801 and 1835.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) on 31 March 1803.1 He was created 1st Earl of Charleville [Ireland] on 16 February 1806.1 He was President of the Royal Irish Academy between 1812 and 1822.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) on 28 April 1814.1

     John Bury was the son of William Bury and Hon. Jane Moore.1 He died on 4 August 1764.1
     John Bury lived at Charleville Forest, County Offaly, Ireland.1 On 17 February 1764 he succeeded to the Charleville estates of his maternal uncle, 1st Earl of Charleville.1
