     Dr. John Mudge was born in 1721.1 He was the son of Reverend Zachariah Mudge and Mary Fox.1 He married Jane (?).1 He died in 1793.1
     In 1777 he published a short treatise on inoculated smallpox.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1777.1 He was decorated with the award of Copley Medal (of the Royal Society), for making the best composition of metal for reflecting telescopes.1

     Reverend Zachariah Mudge was educated in 1710 at Mr. Hallets Academy, Exeter, Devon, England.1 He was ordained on 21 September 1729.1 He was the Vicar in 1732 at St. Andrews Church, Plymouth, Devon, England.1 He held the office of Prebendary of Exeter.1

Edward Montague Flint was born on 18 December 1850.1 He was the son of Reverend William Charles Raffles Flint and Jenny Rosdew Mudge.1 He married Mildred Salome Kekewich, daughter of Trehawke Kekewich, on 25 June 1883 at Exminster Parish Church, Exminster, Devon, England.2 He died on 17 February 1937 at age 86.1
     Brig.-Gen. Edward Montague Flint was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He lived at Strete Ralegh, Whimple, Devon, England.1

     Mildred Salome Kekewich was the daughter of Trehawke Kekewich.1 She married Brig.-Gen. Edward Montague Flint, son of Reverend William Charles Raffles Flint and Jenny Rosdew Mudge, on 25 June 1883 at Exminster Parish Church, Exminster, Devon, England.2 She died on 18 March 1925.1
     From 25 June 1883, her married name became Flint.2
