     Sub-Lt. Ronald Francis Drake was born on 2 August 1923 at New York, U.S.A.2 He was the son of Colonel Francis Collingwood Drake and Daphne Joyce Wolton.3 He died on 20 March 1944 at age 20, lost at sea when his submarine was sunk.1
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.3 He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, serving on board H.M. Submarine Stonehenge.1 He fought in the Second World War.3

Stewart.2 He married Patricia Lawrell Drake, daughter of John Hughes Drake and Muriel Rosdew Raffles-Flint, on 24 August 1940 at Aldershot, Hampshire, England.2 He died in August 1986 at age 77 at Gloucestershire, England.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Black Watch.1
