     Angela Evelyn Akers-Douglas was born on 6 March 1919.1 She was the daughter of George Alexander Akers-Douglas and Doris Christopherson.2 She married Lieutenant Douglas Shankland, son of Andrew Shankland, on 15 March 1940.1 She died on 30 November 1959 at age 40.1
     From 15 March 1940, her married name became Shankland.
